A brief list of some of Mr. Babcock’s business and legal related background and accomplishments are set forth below.
Mr. Babcock began practicing law in 1989 and founded Babcock & Associates in 2005. Prior to that, Mr. Babcock practiced law at major law firms in California, and was a partner at the international law firms of Sheppard Mullin, Morrison Foerster, and McDermott Will & Emery.
During his legal career, Mr. Babcock has represented both publicly traded and privately held companies in more than 100 merger, acquisition and disposition transactions ranging in value from hundreds of thousands of dollars to in excess of $1 Billion. Additionally, he has handled over 70 financing transactions for his clients, which included representing the interests of both companies and venture funds. Mr. Babcock has also advised Boards of Directors and Senior Management in connection with numerous corporate and compliance matters.
Mr. Babcock served as a member of the Board of Directors of Nobles Medical Technologies, Inc. from 2009 until its sale in 2010. Mr. Babcock has also served on the Boards of Directors of each of Nobles Medical Technologies II, Inc. since 2010.
Mr. Babcock has also served on the Boards of Directors of each of HeartStitch, Inc. since 2010.
Mr. Babcock has also acted as both a principal of and a consultant to investment banks.
Mr. Babcock has lectured several times on various corporate and securities topics for Continuing Legal Education.
